First configuration

Choose your language, appearance, and visible tools before you start working.

Guide based on source version 2.0.1-rc.7. Screenshots show the English interface of a prerelease edition; their values illustrate examples, not necessarily defaults. Packages on Downloads may differ: review their release notes and saving options before processing.

Choose your preferences

  1. Open Settings from Home or the sidebar.
  2. Select the Settings tab, not Updates.
  3. Under Language, choose English to follow the labels in these guides, or Español for the Spanish guides.
  4. Choose a comfortable UI theme. Theme names such as Default are proper names.
  5. Set Interface scale to 100 %, 75 %, or 50 %.
  6. Under Visible modules, keep the tools you need enabled.
  7. Click Apply and wait for the restart.

Scaling changes the interface size, not your photographs’ resolution. Try 75 % if controls are too large for your screen. Smaller settings also shrink text, so choose a size you can read comfortably.

When preferences are saved

Changing a selector leaves a pending value. Apply saves language, theme, scale, and visible modules together, then restarts the app to apply them globally. You do not need to click it after every selector.

Finish and save your work first. Restarting does not preserve image selections, forms, or unexported results. If processing is active, the app may offer to wait until it finishes before restarting.

If a tool is missing

Check Visible modules. Hiding a tool removes it from navigation without uninstalling it. Settings remains accessible so you can enable tools again. Check the module, click Apply, and wait for the restart.

What these preferences do not change

  • Changing the interface language does not add OCR recognition languages.
  • A theme does not alter processed image colors.
  • Interface scaling does not resize image files.
  • Hiding OCR or Remove Background does not delete downloaded models.

The current source offers nine interface languages: Español, English, Portugues, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, 日本語, 简体中文, and Русский. Older packages may offer fewer.

A quick check

Choose English, Default, and 100 %, keep the tools you need visible, and apply. When Yagua opens again, check those preferences and the sidebar. Then try the first operation with a copy of a photograph.
