Cookies and storage

Optional cookies, preferences and consent-based Yagua analytics.

Last reviewed:

1. Browser preferences

Your manual language choice is stored in the first-party yagua_language cookie, containing es or en, for one year from when it is saved. We also keep a localStorage copy until you change it or clear site data; if the cookie is missing, that copy is recovered when a page loads. The cookie is sent to the server and used to choose the language when entering at the site root. This preference is not sent to analytics and does not depend on accepting GA4. At the root, it takes priority over the browser language; unsupported languages open the English version.

Analytics is optional. The banner lets you accept, reject or open preferences. Your choice, date and policy version are stored in localStorage for up to 180 days. Documentation search runs in your browser using an index from this website and is not sent to Google Analytics.

Old, expired or invalid preferences require a new choice. GA4 stays blocked if the choice cannot be stored. Analytics does not load without JavaScript either.

2. Optional analytics

Before acceptance, no Google tag loads and no measurement signals are sent, including cookieless signals. After acceptance, page visits and download clicks are measured. We use no personalized advertising, Google signals, User-ID or cross-device tracking.

GA4 cookies use names prefixed with yagua_ga, including yagua_ga_ga and yagua_ga_ga_B531NFW1L6, configured for 60 days without renewal on visits. Property-level user and event retention is configured for two months without resetting on activity; aggregated reports have different rules.

3. Checking status and exercising rights

Use Cookie preferences in any page footer to change your choice. Rejecting or withdrawing permission stops measurement, removes analytics cookies controlled by this website and reloads the page if the tag had loaded. The change is shared with other tabs on this same website.

Deleting cookies or withdrawing permission does not remove requests already sent or provider-held historical data. Use the private contact channel to exercise rights over other data.
