Prepare product photos
Remove a background, place a product on a 1080 × 1080 canvas, and add a logo without stretching the photo.
Guide based on source version 2.0.1-rc.7. Screenshots show the English interface of a prerelease edition; their values illustrate examples, not necessarily defaults. Packages on Downloads may differ: review their release notes and saving options before processing.

Prepare the files
Start with a clear photo, good lighting, and separation between the product and background. Keep the original and prepare sin-fondo/, catalogo/, and con-marca/. Use a transparent PNG logo if you want only the mark to remain visible.
In Remove Background, Canvas, and Watermark, choose Create copies under Saving. Review each destination and confirmation; a screenshot showing Overwrite originals is not an instruction to use that mode for this example.
Some edges may need retouching in another editor. Yagua has no mask brush for manual corrections.
1. Remove the background
- Open Remove Background and select the photo.
- Choose PNG and process it into
sin-fondo/. - Wait for model loading or download if needed on the first run.
- Inspect edges, holes, reflections, and shadows in the exported image.
The first run may need a connection and take longer. A white background in a viewer does not necessarily mean the file is opaque; check it in a viewer that displays transparency.
2. Prepare the square canvas
- Load the exported PNG in Resize → Canvas.
- Enter width 1080 and height 1080.
- Choose Transparent or White for the background.
- Click Apply canvas and save into
catalogo/.
Canvas centers the whole file and reduces it when necessary. It does not detect product boundaries or trim existing transparent margins. You may need an external crop first. Keep a transparent format if alpha matters; do not convert to JPEG before this step. Canvas avoids the stretching a size preset can introduce.
3. Add the logo
- Open Watermark, load the copy from
catalogo/, and select the PNG logo. - As a starting point, use size 25%, opacity 60%, bottom-right position, and margin 20 px. A preset can change these values; check them explicitly.
- Wait for the preview and adjust the mark so it does not cover important details.
- Apply it into
con-marca/and inspect the full-size output.
The preview uses the first image at reduced size. A background embedded in the logo remains part of the mark.
4. Choose the delivery format
Use WebP when the destination supports the transparency you need. For JPEG, choose an opaque background deliberately and check its color. Keep a PNG working copy.
Review author and GPS metadata before sharing. EXIF cleaning re-encodes images and does not guarantee retention of color profiles; test a copy before processing the catalog.
Process a batch
Remove Background accepts up to 10 images. Canvas and Watermark accept up to 100. Split batches when dimensions or proportions need different settings. The same margin in pixels can look different on differently sized base images.
